Rambling

I haven't blogged in a while but I am here now. I just haven't been in the "mood" to blog, I guess. But Sheri whooped me in the butt and told me to blog! Not really. But she mentioned that I hadn't posted on lately so I am going to post one now. Things haven't really changed much. Although, Cassandra has started crawling all over the place and has popped in her first tooth! So, that's a big change. She is crazy. Such a goofy girl. Alanna has started choir. She is in fourth grade and choir is for children in fourth through sixth grade. And since Alanna and Micheyla walk to and from school together, I had to ask if Micheyla could watch. Luckily, we are not the only ones in this boat. Other siblings watch as well so it's not a problem. Choir is every Tuesday after school for about 45 minutes. That started yesterday. So, my "big" girl is in choir. Following mommy's footsteps. I was in choir from 7th grade to junior year. Didn't go senior year since I only had to take 3 classes, I chose not to go. That, and I switched schools senior year and didn't know anyone at the new school. Decided to just take what I needed plus one other class. I took an office education course the whole year to get me prepared to enter the full-time work force after I graduated. Turns out, I didn't even do that. I worked for a few months but ended up getting pregnant the Nov after I graduated. I can't believe it has been 10 years since I graduated. Crazy. I will not be attending my high school reunion for a few reasons. One, I can't afford it. Two, I really don't want to go. Since I only went to this school for one year and only went half a day, I didn't really know anyone. The one's I did hang out with, I still talk to. As a matter of fact, one of them just came by to pick up a couple things with her husband. One lives in Boston and I talk to her almost daily. Another, I talk to on myspace, occassionally. I met her once I started the new school. The other two, I knew before hand. The one that lives in Boston has been a friend of mine since we were born. 28 years of friendship.

I just turned 28 almost two weeks ago. A friend took me out the following weekend and treated me to a pedicure. Which was fun. I hadn't had one since June. It was overdue! Then, when I got home, I had a houseful of people at the house for a surprise b-day party/bbq that my husband had planned like three weeks prior. It was awesome. My husband got me a butterfly necklace that I put on that night and haven't taken off yet. My girls got me a bracelet that broke that day, but it was the thought that counts. I still have it. It had a big butterfly on it and I figured I could do something with the butterfly. Another friend got me some scrapbooking stuff and a candle set. The other friends that came didn't get me anything but they came. Which was awesome. The one friend that just left a bit ago didn't come. I don't know why. And my lifelong friend didn't come for obvious reasons. She lives in Boston now. And I am in AZ. So, no big deal. It was a good time.

Justin and I have basically been sticking to ourselves lately. Spending time with the family. Last weekend we went to a friends' mom's house for the friends sister-in-laws birthday bbq. The kids went swimming and we just hung out. I was pretty quiet that day. It's kind of hard to talk to people when we don't have a phone. We have my husband's work phone but I try not to use it much. When he is at work, I don't have a phone. I stick to my computer and housework. I am not much of a phone person anyway. Once we are able to pay our phone bill and get our cell's back on, I still won't be on it much. Just not my thing. I text alot though.

So, I do have something to look forward to! My parent's are in AZ for two weeks. They should have arrived on Sunday but they are two hours north of where I am for the week. Then they will be coming down here for the second week. My dad has some business to tend to and his company is only a couple miles from me. My mom will probably spend some time with my grandma, who lives about 20-25 minutes from me. I hope to see them quite a bit for that week. I have only seen my dad once for about an hour back in July, I think when he came down for a couple days for work. I saw my mom a couple times in the beginning of June, right after we moved back, when she came down for a few days after my grandma had surgery. She spent the time here at my grandma's helping her and we went over there. I took her to the airport, as well as my oldest daughter, Alanna. Alanna got back in the truck because she didn't want to say goodbye. My mom and I cried a few tears, said goodbye and she left. So, I am excited to see her again. And hopefully, spend more than an hour with my dad. I have become very close to my parents over the last two years. Since we moved out of AZ. They are hoping to move back here but there is a possibility they may go to WA. They don't like CO and my dad is unhappy at his job. So, it's a waiting game as to where they go. They still have their house here in AZ. It hasn't sold. So, I am hoping it's a sign that they will be coming back :)

I guess that's all for now. Have to start dinner soon. I am missing my hubby and hoping he will be home soon.......
